Famed Venezuelan choral conductor Maria Guinand joins David Chase in a program of music by composers from Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, and Venezuela.
MARIA GUINAND is celebrated as an authentic interpreter of Latin American choral music. She
conducts choral projects throughout the world and leads Venezuela’s two most prestigious choruses.
Ms. Guinand joins colleague David Chase in March in a rousing concert of Latin American music.
The concert opens with the swaggering Malambo, and concludes as vocal soloists, chorus, and orchestra perform the famous Cantata Criolla, a Faustian tale about a singing contest between Florentino and the Devil.

Life*
…is fresh,
sometimes a little scary,
utterly ecstatic,
sometimes hidden (in plain sight),
made for sharing,
and bursting with promise.
Life is for celebrating.
