María Guinand to conduct the Houston Chamber Choir

As part of the Houston Chamber Choir 2013-2014 Season, María Guinand will lead the Houston Chamber Choir in the program "Todos Unidos — Todos Cantamos: Music of The Americas" in two magnificent concerts in February 2014.

Under the inspired direction of renowned Venezuelan conductor María Guinand, the Houston Chamber Choir and a group of Latin percussionists revel in the sacred and secular music of Central and South America. Ms. Guinand has long been associated with Venezuela's nationwide music programs for youth such as "Construir Cantando", "Pequeños Cantores" and "El Sistema" that produced the LA Philharmonic's conducting sensation Gustavo Dudamel. ¡Viva la Música!

Renowned Venezuelan conductor María Guinand makes her Houston debut as guest conductor of the Chamber Choir. Guinand has played a key role, along with LA Philharmonic conducting sensation Gustavo Dudamel, in spreading groundbreaking music education programs throughout her homeland and many other countries
.

Once you’ve experienced her passion and joy leading our esta of music from Central and South America you will know why she is in such demand around the world.
